Note: *obituary - Portsmouth Times, May 7, 1953 - Mrs. Lucretia Prater - Mrs. Lucretia Prater, 120 Second St., died at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Portsmouth General Hospital after a two-year illness. She was 88. Mrs. Prater was born March 12, 1865, in Greenup County, Ky., a daughter of Alexander and Jane Frances Holmes. She was first married to James Lozier, deceased. One child by this marriage survives: John H. Lozier of Huntington. In 1897, she married Louis Prater at Greenup. He too is dead. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Emma Collins, 120 Second St., two grandsons, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Prater was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, two sisters, a brother and a grandson. Funeral services are to be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pentecostal church of Christ at Highland Bend with Rev. Marion Stiltner officiating. Mrs. Prater was a member of theat church. Burial is to be in Batterson Cemetery south of Minford under direction of Piatt Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence. *Henry L. Albertson was the informant on the death certificate
