Note: N316 At the age of 17 (1892), Otto became employed by the Singer Sewing Machine Company in Milwaukee, and was sent by the company to take charge of its affairs in Wausau in 1893. He was manager there for 12 years. After 1908, he became secretary, treasurer and manager of the Northwestern Dyeing and Cleaning Works and the Badger Steam Laundry at Wausau.
