Notes
a. Note:   Lived in Alberton, SA. Was a carrier. Listed as a Mason on his marriage certificate He has proved hard to tracce, but it is most likley he was born in Cornwall, Devon, England. Walter was aged 17-18 when he arrived in Adelaide on 20 June 1864 on the Eastern Empire after 105 days at sea. Also on the Esatern Empire was a Susannah Willcocks aged 23. They shared the same application no 1066. It is probable that they were cousins, and that a Willcocks already living in Port Adelaide was Susannah's brother. William Willcocks who it is beleived was Walter's sponsor to Adelaide, was also a carter, and lived in the Portland Estate. Walter and William may have been in business togther. Aged 38, his wife pregnant with their 5th child, Walter Willcocks succumbed to pneumonia and died on 10 July 1885 Walter married Elizabeth Tully at North Adelaide Congegational Church. At the time, walter was living in Garsden (?) and Elizabeth in Unley Walter andElizabeth had three girls, Alice, Emma and Ellen, and two boys, Walter James Charles and William George, who was born 4 months after his fathers death on 7 Nov 1885 Walter lived in Garsden(?) in Adelaide, and Elizabeth at Unley at the time of their marriage
