a. Note:   7/8/1855 and arrived in Port Adelaide on 19/12/1855. It is presumed that his five year old son Ludwig died during the voyage and was buried at sea. Johann Gottfried Hermann and his wife Anna Louise (nee Zadow) were also passengers on the ship. There is evidence that Anna Louise, who was 17 years old, was Johann's eldest daughter. Johann and his family leased land in Birdwood, and later purchased land at Suumerfield where they built their home. Johann died at Summerfield on 30/3/1884 aged 76 years, and was buried at Palmer cemetery, in grave 19. A headstone marks his grave. Anna Justine died on 13/7/1891 at Mannum, and was buried in the Mannum cemetery. A headstone marks her grave. Anna Dorothea Zadow travelled to Australia with her brother Johann and his family. There is no information about her life in Australia and it is presumed she lived with Johann and his family. She died on 15/2/1882 at age 87 from rheumatic fever, and was buried in the Palmer cemetery in grave no 5 whcih does not have a headstone
