Note: , Gladys Alexandra, who was with her at the time she died, said she died in the Spanish Flu epidemic. Gladys was 7 or 5 at the time. August 1919 was the height of the epidemic in Australia, and she and her daughter had been sent to Broken Hill by her husband to reduce the liklihood of catching the spanish flu. But she caught it and died. I am sure that she went to Broke n Hill to stay with her sister's family there Note that there is some difference in opinion as to birthdate - I had calculated 1885 from some data, but lots of others indicates 5 feb or 2 may 1883, although liklelt to be 1883 ( from Sieggy's notes) 5 Feb looks right noe Birth place also noted as Yatala SA in some information - this may be near Alberta. Buried in an unmarked grave in the Anglican Section, subsection ANGL I Grave 44 of the Broken Hill Council Cemetery ( note that is ANGL Capital Letter I, not 1). MAy have been buried in the same plot as Edward Day, her StepFather. Marraige was witnessed by W. Willcocks ( persumably her brother Walter James Charles) and Evilene Day, her half sister
