Sub. of Company F, 148th Regiment Penna Volunteers, was enrolled on the 9th day of Oct, 1863, at Danville Pa.,and is reported: On rolls from enrollment to April 30, 1864. Present, June 30, 64. Missing - supposed to be taken prisoner by the enemy June 22, 1864. Co. was in action at Petersburg said date. Same to Oct 31, 64. Feby 28, 1865, Died at Baltimore of chronic diarrhoea Nov 28, 1864, (a paroled prisoner at time of death)." "Prisoner of War records show him captured at Petersburg Va.
