Notes
a. Note:   John Kelley's parents died when he was a very young boy. He hired out to work on a farm for his victuals and clothes and when he was 21 he got a horse, bridle, and saddle and $100 in full pay. Jon and wife were both born near Macon, Ga. before they moved to Texas in 1846., where they lived near Wharton for three years where Viola died and where Dan was born and they then moved to Grimes Co. and located 5 miles east of Anderson in Feb. and March,1850. Cammila was buried there and Net was born there. They then moved to McLennan Co. in 1853, where Willis was born and where Frank was snake bit and where Lucy was married. After three years of drought, moved back to Grimes Co.in 1856, 1 mile E.of Piney Grove Church (Ticklefoot). Dan got his arm broken here. In November 1859, moved to Oak Ridge five and one forth miles West of Anderson. Both died here and are buried at Anderson. Net (now Mrs.Clark Mobley) still lives on part of the Oak Ridge place.
