He married Elizabeth Paul 5 Dec 1828 in Sunderland. Thomas died in 11 Sept 1849 at Ballett Hills in Durham.He appears to have had a heart attack or stroke. I have only found 2 children for them so far William Born 23 Apr 1832 Bishopwearmouth, Durham and Thomas born 1842 the same place, must be children in between. William married Rosina Dixon in Sunderland Durham and they moved to NZ. They came out on the Lancaster Witch arriving in Dunedin on 1869. They settled in Oamaru where the last 3 children were born. The family moved to Christchurch and lived in Haast Street. This house still stands and is where my grandmother was bought up with her siblings. William died in 1890 and Rosina 1901.They are both buried in Avonside Church Cemetery. Alfred met and married Martha Ann Dowton whilst on a trip to Melbourne 1893. Martha was born in Melbourne in 1865. Her father was Thomas Dowton and her mother was Susan nee King. They had 9 children the first 3 born in Melbourne and the rest in Christchurch. Athur Albert born 1888 died during the 1914-18 war in France. Charles Percy born 1892. Went back to Melbourne, he joined the Australian army and on his returrn to Melbourne he married Florence Stagol. He later divorced her and came back to NZ to live in Christchurch at 126 Cannon Street with his sister.He died in 1962 and is buried at Ruru Lawn cemetery in Ch-Ch.he was known as Percy. Alfred Ernest born 1894 married Rose May Jordan.He died 1946, she died 1963. Harold Leopold born 1896 died 1898 Alexander Francis born 1897 married Nell Ellis. He died 1949 Violet Myrtle born 1898 married James Lesley Radcliffe in 1924 divorced in 1936. She died in 1972 and her ashed were scattered at the Linwood Rose Garden Cemetery .He died 1982. Ivy Rosina born 1901 married Arthur Sadler. She died in Nelson in 1984. Albert George born 1901 married Muriel Nelson. He died in 1956. William Horace married Dorothy Dunhill. He died in 1958.
