Notes
a. Note:   In 1881 she was listed as a cotton weaver I am certain that this is the same George Hendry Black. Their was another George Tulloch Black 1851-1854(a brother) who died as a result of a fall from a window in Dumbarton, aged 4. George Hendry Black appears on his mother, Janet Hendry (1819-1894) death certificate, as the informant. She died (10 august 1894) at George's abode, 5 Barony Street, Glasgow. This address was located next the Blind Asylem, beside Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Cathedral and may relate to George's visual impairment. I also have some information (which I can't find at present) which says George was educated at a music seminary at Croydon, Surrey. I see in the hot matches that I have 31 matches with you. My great grand mother was Elspeth Anderson Black (1865-1945) not to be confused with an Elspeth Black her sister, born 1848? who it appears died in infancy like George Tulloch Black. Do not hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information. Cheers Ivor OWEN Parsell
