Died ? Married 1) Euphemia McDougall on 23 December 1870 at 65 Regent Street, Greenock, Renfrew, with banns in the Church of Scotland. She is noted as a Woolen Mill Worker and spinster2) Georgina Tulloch BLACK on 1 June 1883, at 47 Harmony Row Govan, Glasgow, Lnk. Donald McLean was a widower on the marriage certificate, living at 6 Kilblain Street Greenock.Euphemia McDOUGALL: b 16 May 1849 in Greenock, Renfrew. Her parents, noted on her marriage certificate (aged 20) were Duncan McDougall, Distillary Worker and Ann McDougall ms Campbell. Witnesses at the wedding were Alexander McLean (probably his brother) and Janet Templeton. Euphemia lived at 22 Inverkip St, Greenock. Euphemia died young of Phihises at 28 on19 November 1878 while living at 3 Salmon Street, Greenock. The death was notified by John McDougall (brother). On the certificate Donald’s occupation looks like ‘seaman’, this would explain his absence and he could have been a cooper/carpenter at sea.Children.i) Ann Campbell MCLEAN: b. 07 Mar 1872, Middle-East-West Parishes, Greenock, (IGI record to be confirmed)Georgina Tulloch BLACK, see BLACK branch, born 22 August 1855 Dumbarton, Dunbarton. Married Hugh Menzies, carter. Stabled in Henderson’s North Street Glasgow.ii) Georgina McLean: b about 1886 (aged 5 in 1891 census) in Greenock. Moved to USA about the time of the Titanic (1812)iii) Alexander McLean: b about 1888 (aged 2 or 3 in 1891 census) in Govaniv) Duncan McLean: b about 1890 (aged ? months in 1891 census) in Kinning Parkv) Next generation = Donald McLean: b 19 August1896, living at 21 Wellington Lane, Glasgow, Street Donald McLean, (born 1851), was a cooper. At some point prior to about 1925 he lost his right arm and several fingers of his left hand. This is thought to have happened as an accident at work caused by an apprentice. ”. In the Glasgow voters role of 1918 he is noted as a cooper. In the voters roles of 1918-1920 Donald, Donald (junior) and Alexander are noted as living at 58 Lancefield Street.In the 1891 Census they are recorded as living at 148 Vermont Street, in Kinning Park (Govan).
