a. Note:   Joseph and Keren Artz Monnett are buried in the family plot in the Kirkersville cemetery. Located on the road leading into the cemetery. Their large, oval monument faces the road. Several other relatives are buried there, including their daughter, Sara Monnett Vadakin and her husband Francis (Frank) Vadakin. Keren's parents, Jacob Artz and Sara Millar are buried in the Etna cemetery.
  According to records Joseph bought 100 acres in Licking County, OH in 1848; 200 acres in 1854; 100 acres in 1855. Had a saw mill in Kirkersville.
