Notes
a. Note:   Per Jackie Hayes: On 1910 census, listed as widow, living at 232 154th Place, Cal City, IL. "Immigration dates vary: 1900 census says 1873, 1910 census says 1877, 1920 census says 1910, 1930 census says 1893. Most likely sometime during the 1870's and probably came directly to Chicago. There are several families in Chicago on the 1880 census which could be Anna's: Joseph & Mary Arend, ED #57, Dwelling No. 105, Family No. 228 Ludwig & Albertine Arndt, ED #48, Dwelling No. 174, Family No. 379 While Ludwing & Albertine claim Prussia as birthplace and this fits better with the Miotkes (Kashubians from West Prussia), Joseph & Mary also had a daughter named Nelly. Anna Arendt Miotke used Nelly as the nickname for her daughter Angeline. Nelly is a very unusual nickname within this ethnic group and I can't help but wonder if there isn't some connection between Joseph & Mary and our Anna Arendt because of it."
