Zazada Succumbs At 75; Rites Will Be Held 9:30 Monday Frank A. Zasada, 75, Hammond and Calumet City resident for 51 years, died today at 6:35 am in his home at 216 154th Place, Calumet City. Zasada, head of a prominent regional family, suffered a paraytic stroke two weeks ago and his condition gradually became worse. He was the father of Mrs. Frank Angel, whose husband is former city clerk of Calumet City. The deceased and his wife, Frances, celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding in September, 1940. Surviving are the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Catherine Nitz of Calumet City, Sister M. Leona of the Nazareth convent, who is in St. Mary's hospital in Chicago, Mrs. Frank Angel of Calumet City, Mrs. Edward F. Kowalski of Calumet City, Mrs. John Szrom of Hammond and Mrs. Elmer A. Zachau of Hammond; four sons, Stephen, master U.S. army field artillery sergeant at Fort Sill, Okla., Walter, John, and Michael of Calumet City; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Grabowski of Detroit, Mich; two brothers, Stephen and John of Detroit; 25 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Zasada was a member of Hammond Group 114 of the PNA and the Men's Rosary society of St. Andrew's church in Calumet City. Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:30 am in the Zasada residence and at 10 am in St. Andrew's church. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.
