Notes
a. Note:   Per Jackie Hayes: "On the 1920 census index the surname is spelled "Nenspke". It was based on a horrible misspelling on the actual census. I know this is the correct family because of the names of the parents and the two oldest children also appear on the 1930 census. I could not find a Leo/Leon/Leonard Miotke listed in either the 1916-1950 State Death Index or on the SSDI. I would tend to think that he probably died during the 1950s or early 1960s. Census 1920: January 16, 1920, W. Hammond, Cook Co., IL - ED #224 - Sheet 14B Census 1930: April 11, 1930, 626 Forsythe, Calumet City, Cook Co., IL - ED #2349 - Sheet 16A" Also per Jackie Hayes: "The birthdate information is a problem. But, in looking at all the census reports where I have found Leo, the guy had a problem reporting the correct age. In 1900 he was listed as 11, with a birth month & year of February 1888. On the 1910 census, which was done on 4-19-1910 Leo is listed as Leon and he is reported to be 20. This age is incorrect if he really was born in Feb. of 1888. He should be 22. But 20 would work fine with a birthdate of Nov. 1889. If this is the correct date he would turn 21 in November of 1910. On the 1920 census he is listed as being 29. The census was done on 1-16-1920. If his birthday was Feb. 1888 he would have been 31 on the date of the census. If his birthday was Nov. 1889 he would have been 30. Either way, the age of 29 is off. On the 1930 census, done on April 11, 1930, he was 39. Using the same logic, if he was born Feb. 1888 he would be 42 on census day. If he was born Nov. 1889 he would have been 40. Once again he is a little off with his age." Still living on Forsythe at time of death. Retired foreman of Union Carbide Chemicals Co. Funeral at St. Andrew Church and buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, both in Cal City, IL.
