MARY SHEHORN DIES AT AGE OF 91 ---------------------- Passed Away At Daughter's Home in Berry Township Friday Morning ------------------- Mrs. Mary Shehorn, 91, a lifetime Wayne county resident died about 8:30 Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Loa Finley in Berry township following an extended illness. She was the widow of Thomas J. Shehorn. Rites Held Sunday Funeral services were conducted from Bailey church Sunday afternoon with Rev. R. O. Leach in charge. Interment was in Bailey cemetery. The Crippin Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Mary Leota, daughter of John and Mary Jane Weaver was born in Wayne County August 14th, 1867. She grew to womanhood and spent her life in and near the vicinity of her birth. In her youth she was converted to Christ and united with the Arrington Prairie General Baptist church, where she retained her membership throughout her life. She was married to Thomas J. Shehorn August 14th, 1887 with six children born to this union. One child died in infancy and a son, Fred died in March 1931. Her husband passed away April 30th, 1939. List of Survivors Surviving are three sons Albert of Fairfield, Clarence of Cisne; and John of Orchard township; one daughter, Nora, wife of Loa Finley, of Berry township; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
