Note: Paper: Waco Tribune Herald Date: Wednesday 10/25/1978 G.C. Brown G.C. Brown, 66, or 307 East Elm Mott died Tuesday afternoon at his home. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in Bellmead, the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Brown was born in Anderson County and lives in Gatesville several years before moving to Elm Mott in 1949. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he had been a deacon. He was a retired civil service employee and had served as chief of police at Texas State Technical Institute until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Brown; a son, G.C. Brown Jr. of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Wanda) Blanchette and Mrs. Ralph (Belta) Lewis, both of Lorena; a brother Sam Brown of Houston; sisters Mrs. Bertie Davis of Elkhart and Mrs. Myrtle Seymour of Palestine; and seven grandchildren.
