Note:   Obituary from the Harlan County Journal, August 14, 1969: Obituary Hattie Mae Lambson Hattie Mae Lambson, daughter of Elbert and Ethel Mathes was born September 24, 1902, at Big Timber, Kansas, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Aldean Pittman at Orleans, Nebraska on August 3, 1969, at the age of 66 years 10 months and 13 days. She spent her early life in and near Norton, Kansas, and moving to Alma, Nebraska, when a young lady. She was married to Earling Lambson on April 3, 1918 at the home of her parents in Alma. They made their home in and near Alma until her husband's death in 1955; she lived in Orleans until 1961, and then moved to Newton, Kansas, and remained there until three months ago when she returned to Orleans to make her home. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Orleans. She is preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, three brothers, three sisters, and four grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her death three daughters, Mrs. May Gipe of Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Aldena Pittman of Orleans, Nebraska; Mrs. Grace Richards of Enid, Oklahoma; and one son, Silas Lambson of Nampa, Idaho. Two sisters, Lois Dow of Alma, Nebraska; Della Gossett of Chiloquin, Oregon; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Orleans, Nebraska with Rev. Ralph Egan saying the Mass. Music was furnished by St. Mary's choir. Pallbearers were Larry Kresser, Don Conant, James Dunlay, Carl Fishbach, Ed Witte, and Bernard Backes. Interment was made in the Alma Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska. Rosary was recited at Mitchell Funeral Home, Orleans, at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5th, 1969.
