Army S/N was 38544296. ------------------------------- Obituary from the Palestine Herald Press, May 15, 1992: Ozell Vickery GRAND PRAIRIE - Services for Ozell Vickery, 66, of Grand Prairie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home with Dr. Ernest Duncan officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart. Mr. Vickery died Thursday in a Grand Prairie hospital after a brief illness. He was born May 16, 1925, in Slocum, to Tom and Lela Vickery. He was a resident of Grand Prairie for the past 11 years and a former resident of Houston. He graduated from Slocum High School in 1943. He was a U.S. Air Corps World War II veteran and a retired service manager for Freightliner in Houston. He was a member of the Sam R. Hamilton Masonic Lodge No. 1031 and of First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. He is survived by his wife, Louise Vickery of Grand Prairie; son, Ronnie Vickery of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter; Mrs. Barney (Teresa) Habecker of San Antonio; sisters, Mildred Shmoldas of Crockett and Margie Benton of Elkhart; and three grandchildren.
