a. Note:   Thomas Green Vickery and Sallie Vickery and their three children came from South Carolina to Coweta Co. Georgia about 1837. Thomas became a circuit riding Methodist Preacher. TGV, Sallie Vickery (first wife of TGV), and Martha Vickery (second wife of TGV); Martha Cannon Vickery and Louizer Hubbard Vickery (daughters of TGV and Sallie); Joseph O. Vickery (the only son of TGV and second wife Martha) and Martha F. Vickery (Joseph O. Vickery's wife), are also buried at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2325 Luther Bailey Road, 3 miles west of Harolson, Ga. All of these graves, except Louizer Hubbard, were verified by Ron Vickery on July 4, 1992. Thomas G. Vickery appears in the 1840 Coweta County, GA, census with 1 male under 5, 1 male 20-30, 1 female under 5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 20-30, and 1 female 40-50. Thomas G. Vickery, wife Sarah, and children Elizabeth F., Lucinda C., Martha F., James C., Davis P., Daniel F., and mother Kiziah appear in the 1850 Coweta County, GA, census. Thomas G. Vicery, wife Sarah A., and children Davis P., Daniel F., John W., Louisa B., appear in the 1860 Coweta County, GA, census. Thomas G. Vickery, wife Martha A, and children John W., Louisa, and Joseph O. appear together in the 1870 Coweta County, GA census. From Phil Tidwell: Two rows of neatly carved Roman letters appear on their tombstone. The first row contains - (backward) (S) E V . The second row contains T G V. Their fieldstone marker was replaced with two new monuments in 1999. One marks the grave of Sarah East Vickery and the other her husband, Thomas Green Vickery.
