Notes
a. Note:   From Leo Fratzke's Genealogy: Gustav and his wife lived in the LIttleton area for a short while. With a technical education in Germany, he spent two years in Russia installing flour-making machinery. He was useful in helping his bro thers get started in business by making such items as bobsleds, stoves, and w agons. He left Iowa in early 1890 to settle in Napone, Nebraska where he sold and constructed windmills. On one particularly windy day, Gustav was blown off the top of the windmall under construction and broke his back. He surviv ed, but was handicapped. In 1912, Gustav's wife and four childern came back to Iowa and bought a berry farm near Oelwein, Iowa. After several years, they m oved back to Nebraska. No further contact was made with the family. Gustav ha d a large family of seven girls and four boys.
