Notes
a. Note:   It is not absolutely confirmed that Sarah was the daughter of George Ross, but it seems almost a certainty given (1) she resided in George's town of Dunham at the time of her marriage; (2) she was of the approximate age to be George's daughter; (2) she named a son "George"; (4) she named a daughter "Hannah, " matching George's wife's name around the time of Sarah's birth; (5) George witnessed Hannah's burial (or, a "George Ross" did, anyway: someone who had to have been in the family); and (6) George's daughter, Mary, who would have been about Sarah's age, named her first daughter "Sarah."
It is unclear what happened to Sarah. The latest recorded reference I have found to her is in daughter, Hannah's, 1833 Church of England, Dunham, burial record, where Hannah is referred to as the daughter of John and Sarah Van Antwerp--but it is not clear if Sarah is alive. According to a rootsweb.com internet entry, John Van Antwerp married Julia Ann Leach in parts unknown on December 2, 1839, meaning Sarah presumably had either died or divorced John by that time.
