Note: Lyle is buried at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., Minnesota, He worked at various jobs, the main one being, Great Northern Railroad, (Which is now, Burlington Northern Railroad), for 30 years. He enjoyed doing carpentry work, hunting and fishing with his sons. Both Laverne and Kevin, still tell stories of the times they went hunting with their father . After retirement he spent time visiting Eunice's, and his, many friends and relatives. He bought a cabin at West Pike Bay forestry summer homes, near Cass Lake, Cass, Minnesota, , and lived there for a six years before dying of Cancer, at Northfield, Minnesota, He was a Veteran of WW-2 and served in Alaska , U. S. A. and Italy.
