Notes
a. Note:   g in a cotton mill by 1930. He lived to be almost 97.
When his wife Ruby died in 1996, someone arranged for him to have a live-in attendant, a woman 30 years younger than he. Relatives alledge that she dominated his life and visitors, and would continually distract visitors from speaking with him alone. (That is, if visitors showd up unnanounced.) If visitors came by appointment, he was somehow drugged up or incoherent. It was found that she was draining his bank account and taking advantage of him, and indoctrinating him that his relatives were conspiring to take his money.. She got him so confused that she was able to first change his will to favor her; and then later managed to get him off his death bed and have him hauled, incoherent, across the state to Catoosa Co. where one can obtain a "quick wedding." She got him back into his death bed, and guarded him from visitors. He died 9 days later. His will was nullified, and she was now his only "legal" heir. She managed to get the rest of his liquid assets and most other belongings, but did allow his heirs (his nieces and nephews) to have his house and land. This is a sad travesty aganst a man of great integrity.
Note:   Carl was a devout, hearty, hard-working man. Born in Union Co., GA, he was in Hall Co. workin
