Notes
a. Note:   : Pheby (16), Olive (11), and William (8). She did not appear on the 1870 Census, thus she died some time between 1860 and 1870.
She was a brave woman who endured much. Moving into wilderness regions as a pioneer, beginning as a child in NC, she and husband Jarrett Turner were pioneers of the raw wilderness of the newly-formed Union Co., GA, in 1832. They were there before the forced Cherokee removal, and carved out an agrarian life among the Cherokee.
Sarah bore 13 children, then her husband Jarrett died 3 years after the last one was born, at the young age of 51. Sarah survived until at least 1860, stuggling to raise her children, yet nevertheless died shortly thereafter, attaining the age of 45 or slightly more.
We do know that Sarah was alive in 1861, since Union Co. issued her a guardianship bond where her children Olive and William Turner were given to their natural mother Sarah Turner in March of 1861. She was about 46 then. At most, she lived until late 1869; or perhaps early 1870 just before the census was taken. Her DOB is accurately estimated at 1815, thus the very oldest she could have lived would have been about 55. There is no death date on her grave marker, which is actually a large family marker for her parents and all their chidlren, and the children's spouses.
Note:   Sarah was still alive on the 1860 Census in Union Co., GA, with three children still at home
