Note: Did she marry John D. Cassiday [Cassidy]? A Mary (age 24) was the wife of a "Joe" [actually "Jno." on census page which is John] D. Casidy listed by Fischer in 1880 Census. Beer's map of 1867 shows "Misses Newhouse" near Harveys Five Points. The name is replaced with "Cassaday" in the map of 1876. The June 11, 1900 Census of Five Points District lists the Following: John D. Cassidy head age 55 married 29 years b. Mar. 1845 PA parents b. PA farmer owns farm with mortgage can read & write Mary wife age 48 married 29 years 3 children 3 alive b. Dec. 1851 PA parents b. PA can read & write Scott W. son age 20 single b. Jan. 1880 day laborer can read & write The 1910 Census of Five Points District lists the following: John D. Cassidy head age 64 married 39 years b. PA parents b. PA farmer owns home can read & write Mary E. wife age 57 married 39 years b. PA parents b. PA can read & write Harry M. son age 34 single b. PA farmer home farm can read & write They were probably married in 1871.
