Note: Her name is spelled Klein on the marriage license of her son Vict or A. Seiders but is spelled Kline on the marriage license of her daught er Ruth Seiders. In the 1880 census she is in Shiremanstown, PA, living w ith her father William Kline (43, life insurance agent), mother Katie (46 ), and brother Horace (9). She is 18 and said to be a teacher. In the 19 00 census (E.D. 13, p. 211B, sheet 3, line 64) she is listed as Annie Seid ers, is the head of family, living in a rented house in New Cumberland, Cu mberland Co., Pennsylvania. With her are Minerva C. (16), Lylian B. (14 ), Victor A. (12), Edwin E. (2) and Ruth R. (2) She says she is married a nd has been for 17 years. She is the mother of 7 children, five of them l iving. She, her parents and her children were born in Pennsylvania. S he is listed as a dressmaker. In the 1903 York Directory she is shown run ning a boarding house at 144 W. York(?). In 1905 she is at 545 W. King St ., is called a dressmaker, and has Lillia B., Minerva C., and Victor A. wi th her. In the 1910 census she lived ay 912 Clanton Street, York, P A, ED 133, p. 15B. She is the head of household and is said to be 48 a wi dow who had 7 children 5 still living, not employed. With her are all fi ve of her children and her father, William N. Kline 73, a house carpente r. Her address in 1911 is 351 East Poplar Street, York. This was a po or neighborhood when I knew it. She is not listed in the 1913 and 1917 Y ork Directory. In the January 17, 1920 census (Vol. 249, E.D. #1224, Dwel ling #195, Family #206, Sheet 11A, Lines 11-15, National Archives Microco py T625, Reel 1631) she is in Philadelphia, listed with Edwin E., Minerv a, Ruth Galagher, and baby Vivian. They lived at 6637 Landover Ave. In 1 930 she is in Upper Darby, Deleware Co., PA, ED 23-143, sheet 32B, p. 71 B, with her daughter Minerva Feldmeyer 45 head married not employed, Ann ie M. Seiders 67 mother widow not employed. She is said to have marri ed at age 20 and to be a widow.
