Note: She was baptized on November 26, 1887 in the Immaculate Conception Chur ch on South George Street, which I presume is Saint Mary's Church now. H er mother's name in the Baptismal Registry is erroneously listed as Schaef er rather than Schaberg. She went to school in York but did not go to hi gh school. In the 1910 census she is called Rosie P. and is said to be si ngle (on April) 23) although her marriage lisence says she married Februa ry 5. She did not drive a car when I knew her but I have drivers licens es for 1928 and 1929 when she lived in Upper Darby, PA. During the depre ssion she sold used clothing at home to help make ends meet. She us ed to tell fortunes with cards for fun. She died of a heart attack at ho me while I was in Venezuela.
