a. Note:   Marvin B Zeigler was at his bedside when he died at his home in Centerville (Springville) La, west of Springfield.. My most fond memory of him was when we came to visit, he would be in his rocker on the front porch usually with either a pipe or cigarette in hand. I remember him as a man of few words, but when he spoke, all around listened. He walked with a limp, according to my mother, a result of a pinched nerve A Navy Vet. of World War I. His funeral was conducted at Springville Baptist Chruch on Tuesday April 26, 1977. Conducted by Bill Harper, Oiver Dean and Wayne Martin. BR Morning Advocate Obit: Colyear Zeigler died 7 a.m Monday, April 25, 1977, at his residence. He was 91, a resident of Livingston and a native of Springville. He was retired from the Lousians Forestry Commission and a veteran of World War I. Body at Springville Baptist Church until 4 p.m. Tuesday. Religious services at the church at 4 p.m. Tuesday conducted by the Revs. Bill Harper, Oliver Dean and Wayne Martin. Burial in Zeigler Cemetery, Springville. Survived by his wife Mrs Wilma Zeigler, one daughter Lemona Zeigler, Baton Rouge, five sons, Kenneth M. Zeigler, Baton Rouge, Horace M. Zeigler, Colyell, Ovede C. Zeigler, Bayou Barbary, Ansel C. Zeigler, Springville, and John R. Zeigler Pennsville, N.J. two sisters Mrs. Zella Needham, Springville, and Mrs L.J (Etta) Lambert, Baton Rouge. 17 Grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Preceeded in death by his parents Andrew and Josephine Zeigler, tow brothers Pete and Colbert Zeigler and a sister Bernice Dunn. He was a member of the Springville Baptist Church and Woodman of the World. Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs in charge of arrangements.
