Note: Ovede C. Zeigler: BR Morning Advocate Obit: A resident and native of Livingston Parish, he died at 9:50 p.m. Monday May 19, 2003, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 79. He served in the U.S. Army for 10 years and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict. Visiting was at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bayou Barbary, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by Brother Jeff Pardue. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Vengie Lee Zeigler of Livingston, a daughter and son in law, Patricia and Michael Carley of Baton Rouge, a son Andrew Zeigler of New Orleans: grandchildren John Michael and Matthew Carley: a brother and sister in law, Ansel Sr. and Evelyn Zeigler of Livingston, sisters in law, Dorothy Zeigler of Livingston an Betty Zeigler of New Jersey: honorary grandsons, Dillon and Garon Cadby, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Colyear Zeigler, mother Wilma Zeigler: an infant daughter: brothers Kenneth, Horace, John R. Berlin and Van Zeigler: and a siste, Lemona Zeigler. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, American Legion, Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 7071, Painters Local 728, charter member of the Tickfaw Hunting Club and a board member of the 444 Hunting Club.
