a. Note:   In 1816, Johann Jakob, a pharmacist, was chosen for the position of district veterinary surgeon by the town assembly in Biberach, and he is mentioned in 1794 as having nurtured medicinal plants in his garden. In 1818 he donated a bugle horn to the church. His old pharmacy on Klosterstrasse in Blaubeuren, which his father (ID 41; Gen. 33) had built in 1792, was demolished in 1913. An oil painting of Johann Jakob done by the artist Johann Baptist Pflug in Biberach was donated to the present Kloster-Apotheke on Karl Stra�e in Blaubeuren by the Josenhans family, who succeeded the Widenmanns at the pharmacy (see below, Gen. 59). The painting now hangs on a wall in the apothecary. The Fehl family in Blaubeuren owns another painting of him and his second wife.
