Note: !BIRTH: U.S. Census 1800, Newberry Twp., York Co., Pa., p. 218, John Webb. Shows three daughters age 16-25. Since John married in 1760, and is known to have had a child in 1776 (see note, below), I would assume that at least one of the daughters was older than 26 in 1800. Accordingly, I have estimated Mary as 1774, Ann as 1776 and Elizabeth as 1780. !NOTE: York County Historical Society's Manuscript Collection, bond of John Webb and Robert Miller, dated 12 February 1776, states: ...as soon as the said John's wife is delivered...." So it would appear that one of the daughters was born in 1776. !NOTE: Ann is not named in the will of her father (neither are her brothers; it would appear that John left his estate for the provision of his unmarried daughters); however, the petition on her father's estate (York Co., Pa. Orphan's Court, Vol. M, p. 413) refers to one of the children as the "wife of William Cox." A deed at the Cumberland Co. Courthouse, unearthed by James Carrouthers of Altoona, dated 1799 shows William Cox of Allen Twp. selling personal goods to Isaac Webb of Newberry Twp. (brother of John). A later deed (1802) shows William and Ann Cox selling land to Wm. Drawbough.
