Notes
a. Note:   The following information was received from Marie Lindner(Adopted daughter of Petronella Zelten DeCleene). These were handwritten notes she had in her files, not known where it originated from.
Zelten is not only a Dutch name, it is also a German word for "camp out or sleep under a canvas". It is also an Austrian Christmas pastry, filled with fruits and nuts.
A city in the very NW corner of Libya, a mountain (sand dune really) in central Libya, called Jebel Zelton. Jebel means mountain in Arabic. Zelton, in Dutch, means Rare.
Marie also had this information which was researched by Jeanne Zelten, Daughter of Don, when she did some research of the Zelten family history.
Henry Zelten was a choirmaster and a tailor in Holland. Henry's brother Ambrose was a Capuchin priest and was a Superior in the order. Lamberdina's sister, Nell, also came to the USA and married Jacob Verbeten. They lived in Kimberly, Wisconsin. Some Zelten's changed the spelling of the name to Zelton, Peter was one of them, because of mail confusions.
