a. Note:   Per 1900 census: could not read or write English, could speak English Name was spelled incorrectly as Petruska on census. Was actually Petruskie. Later it may have been changed to Petrusky. Joseph Petruskie was a day laborer. He had been laid off for 3 months already at the time the 1900 census was taken, June 2, 1900. They had a boarding house. They had 4 boarders, all were married Italian men about age 30 or so, all with several children. They all worked as Railroad Laborers. His parents were both born in Hungary per 1900 census.
