Note: sa, Arizona." ! MORNING PRAYER !This was written in MaMa's handwriting. It keeps showing up all the time in my stuff. It is very beautiful. !Good morning Lord. Another lovely day. Help me to keep it so Dear Lord I pray. May no small careless word or deed of mine let fall a shadow there to spoil the shine. No act of kindness left graciously undone mar this lovely morning bright new sun. Help me to keep this day as good as new till at its close I give it back to you. Amen. !This is from a newspaper clipping, Mesa, Arizona. I am supposing the Mesa Tribune: "Services for Petronella W. Zent of Rodeo, N.M., 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. !The family suggests memorial contributions to East Mesa Christian Church." !Mother was baptized at the Chandler First Christian Church, Chandler, Arizona, on 9 May 1926. She and Daddy were baptized the same day. !I asked Bill to give me his remembrances of MaMa: Mother was born in Luling and she lived in McNeal right across the creek or river. They had to come across on horse and buggy when the creek wasn't running. Mother went to school in McNeal, in a one room school house. !Mother had her first child, Frank, in Sour Lake, Texas. Second child in Texas, which was Herbert. They took a trip out to the West coast, Mother and the two boys with Daddy. He stopped and bought the ranch in Mesa going to California. She was pregnant with Sis. She didn't want to travel anymore because of the babies, so Sis was born at the house and the Doctor came to the house. Mother got an infection and nearly died, but came through that. Then after Sis, came Henry born in Tempe and Dorothy was born in Mesa at Dana's Maturnity House just South of Second on the Chandler Road, known now as the North County Club Road. Then came Billy, born at Dana's also. Betty was a beautiful baby, died as she was a blue baby. Shirley was born next in Tempe, as Grandma and Grandpa Watts lived there. Jim was next, then Gary, both born in the Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. !MaMa had a ten year heart pacer, which lasted about eleven and a half years. Tissie told Gary that the Mortician told her that the heart pacer was still working when she was brought in.
