Notes
a. Note:   Martha, along with her children, went to Farmington, CT where they visited their relative, James Bishop and there in the spring of 1764, jointed the party of Capt Steele Smith for the purpose of settling a new town to the north, which later would become VT. The town was the present city of Windsor, VT. The party was formed under a Charter from the Gov. of New Hampshire. They traveled up the Connecticut River and landed at the site of Windsor in the summer of 1764. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/i/s/Lee-Dygert/GENE1-0003.html#CHILD6 22 Feb 2006.
