a. Note:   #263 Source 1 p 22 Subscription of not lees than $500 at 6 percent interest was a loan to N. Y. State in the name of #263 John L. See page 194, New York in the Revolution as Colony and State by Robert & Mather #263 Ensign John L. was in the 15th Regiment, pages 128, 172, New York in the Revolution as Colony and State by Robert & Mather. Ensign John L. was in the 1st Regiment, The Book of Names by Lou D. Mac Wethy, page 138. He undoubtedly served in both regiments, was buried on the west bank Zimmermans Creek and his wife was buried near the village of St. Johnsville. Ensign John L. was a liberal contributer to the Reformed church in St. Johnsville, wasclerk of the church for many years, held a varity of town offices and left no descendants. The male line of #5 Henry runs out with #263 Ensign John L. Bellinger of St. Johnsville. All that we have at this time on this Family line is that Johannis is buried on the west side of Zimmerman's Creek St. Johnsville. Margaret was buried near the village building on William Street St. Johnsville. The Mohawk Valley Bellinger Genealogy says they left no descendants, that doesn't mean they didn't have some children that the family line ended with.
