It is not of record but there is room for a Henry born 1740 to come here, but none is known. Philip Bellinger, the First. Probably named after John Philip Fox. Publuc Documents He comes in with his brother #7 Adam under his father #1 Johannes. On the Ration List and Simmendinger Census, childrens names are not given. By name he appears first with his signature "Lips" on the Bellinger - Folts proposed Patent, 1775 Calander of Land Papers New York State Volume 15, page 138. Philip who married 1749, was too young to enter a "big deal" like this one. See later notes. Deeds and Wills Deed of Oct. 15, 1766 from Philip to his son #51 Lieutenant Colonel Frederick Peters Bellinger (who was age 50 in Aug. 1778) conveying part of lot 20 Herkimer County Deed Book, Volume 28, page 478. See deed of part of lot 20, next to lot 21. It was sold Aug. 1793 by Adam and wife Elizabeth to John Dachstader, Herkimer County Deed Book 5 page 23. Compare this with the bequesting by #51 Lieutenant Colonel Frederick of part of lot 20 'on which John Dachstader now lives" to his daughter Catharine, wife of Dachstader. This lot 20 was drawn by #1 Johannes. Comment We get the idea of the age of this Philip by the 1767 deed and by the birth dates of his first two children. #51 Frederick and #52 Philip II. It looks as if both #6 Philip and #7 Adam were both above 10 on the London Journal entries and lived with their father at the time and in 1723 at the drawing of Lots at Burnestfield. Why didn't they become Patentees. Augustus Hess at age 5 drew lot 10 at Little Falls! source 1 page 10. source 5 Phillipp BELLINGER Born: Hüttengesäß, Hanau, Hessen-Nassau, Germany Christened: 16 Dec 1694, Langenselbold, Hanau, Hessen-Nassau, Germany General Notes: Jones I, p. 49.
