Note: #7 Source 1 p 6,10 Adam Bellinger born about 1698 died before 1753 or maybe before 1750; married Appollonia. She married second Felix Mayer and survived him. See her will No. 2 in Book 1, Fonda. Children 11 Bellinger 7 girls in sequence! Not of record. Children of Adam, possible but not probable may be studied, as "a" Henry born about 1749 also "a" John Jost born about 1743, also "a" Margaret born about 1742. None of the three are of record. Public Documents In Ration List and Simmendinger Census he and his brother Philip appear as over 10 with father, #1 Johannes, but no names were mentioned. Histories and Books By name Adam appears first in Stone Arabia Reformed Church record Jul. 1, 1760 as sponsor for a child of Frederick Harter: to wit, "Elizabeth, Adam Bellinger's single daughter. Comment Lieutenant Adam Bellinger was born 1740. He couldn't possibly have a daughter old enough to be a sponsor, hence we know the name of Appolonia (Abalone) Mayer's husband (first husband maybe), who died before 1753. Except for the 1760 item above he is an unrecorded, highly prolific, very necessary Adam. Will Will of Abalone (Appollonia) Mayer, 1784-1787, in Book 1, will No. 2, Fonda, Montgomery County. The will states Abalone was "old"; had a son Adam Bellinger; it shows she had lost her last husband, Felix Mayer, before 1784 and the Stone Arabia Reformed Church sponsors record shows she had lost her first husband, Adam before 1753. These are the only proofs I have of the existence of Adam. Try to like that!
