a. Note:   Henry and Wilhelmina left St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eldora because Rev. Gunther still preached in German. Henry's funeral was at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, but the family went to church at Rough Woods. Their daughter Loise was buried at Rough Woods. ------------------------------------------------ 1920 Census for Iowa (roll 492, page 63) lists Wilhelmina Ziesman (68) along with Otto H. son, age 39; and Marie, daughter, age 25. Indicates Wilhelmina owned the house free and clear. --------------------------------------------------- Probate number 5983 ----------------------------------- Mrs. Henry Ziesman Buried Wednesday Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Henry Ziesman, 84, who passed away at her home Sunday afternoon, April 12, follow an illness of almost a year. Services were conducted at the Lutheran church by the Rev. C. Hesse. Burial was in the local cemetery. Mrs. Ziesman was born Wilhelmina Tietz, Feb. 20, 1852 in Varzin Pomernon, Germany and came to Eldora in September 1873 at the age of 21 years. In November 1873 she became the bride of Henry Ziesman and moved to a farm west of Eldora. To this union were born nine children, one daughter, Louise died in infancy. In April 1916, they moved to Eldora and the following year on Dec. 22, 1917 Mr. Ziesman passed away. Mrs. Ziesman is survived by eight children, four daughters and four sons. Mrs. Marie Morgan and Mrs. Emilie Beyer, both of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Marie Simmons, Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Hulda Dreier, Hubbard, Will, Otto, Henry and Frank, all of Eldora, sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. William Schwebke, also survives. Henry A. had the mirror after his mother's death, Helen Ziesman Cable bought it at Mary Ingrahm Ziesman's estate sale.
