The 1851 Census shows him living with his family at 21 Shop Yard or Ship Yard St Clements Dane. it shows him as 35 years old, a Printer and born Holborn. The 1861 Census shows him living with his family at St Clements Danes. It shows him as 44 years old, a Printer and born St Giles. The 1871 Census shows him married living with his family at Offord Street, Islington. It shows him as 56 years old, a Printer and born London. On Census night his Grandson, Edward Dineen was there, 5 years old and born Clerkenwell. The 1881 Census shows him as a Widow, 65 years old and born St Giles,Middlesex.
