Friends Cem., Queensbury. He m. Ruth Shrives, b. Easton 28 1m 1797 and d. 6 3m 1866, bur. with him. In 1855, the census reported that she had res. in Queensbury 60 of her 64 years, and he, all but one of his years. In 1813, as a Quaker, he refused military duty from Queensbury. Henry Brown was listed in Queensbury censuses of 1820 (310010/10100/02), 1830 (1101001/120011), and 1840 (00101001/0012001, between Nathaniel and Lucretia). In his household in 1850 were wife and children Calista, Allen and Emeline; in adjacent household were his mother and sister Eunice. In 1855, his household included dau. Calista and married dau. Emeline and her children. Ten years later, he and wife res. with married dau. Emeline and her children. The will of Henry Brown of Queensbury, signed by mark and calling himself 84 years old, was dated 11 May 1866. He mentioned daus. Emeline Scott ($1,000, money in bank, cow, cookstove, dishes, etc.), Amy Lapham ($500), and Callista Hanes ($100); residuary to be divided by heirs of son Silas Brown, heirs of dau. Polly Stephens, and sons Christopher, Luis and William Brown. Named executors were Joseph Harris and Lyman Jenkins. Witnesses were William H. Sweet and Asahel C. Brown. Children, prob. b. Warren Co. c. 1820 and d. 3 Feb. 1856, ae. 37, bur. Friends Cem. He m. (2) Sally Jane Page, b. Greenville, Greene Co. c. 1816 to Leonard and Sally (-----) Page; she d. 1 Jan. 1884, ae. 68, bur. with him. He was a farmer in Queensbury, listed in 1855 (when his aunt Eunice Brown res. in the household) and 1865. He res. in a house on what was later the Coffin property on the west side of Ridge Rd., north of Harrisena. He sold to Elmer VanDusen and moved to what was later the Daniel Wing place on Sanfords Ridge Rd., Kingsbury, just over the Queensbury line.
