Bajos: Oct. 29, 1915 - June 30, 2003 Frances M. Bajos, 87, of Charlevoix, died Monday, June 30, 2003 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. A Masss of the Resurrection was Thursday, July 3, at Saint Mary's Church in Charlevoix. The Rev. Francis Partridge officiated and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Petosky. Fran was born Oct. 29, 1915, in Petosky, the daughter of Bruno and Emma (Pociask) Kruzel. She graduated from Petoskey High School in 1936. On September 9, 1944, she married Arthur S. Bajos. They resided in Petosky until 1960 when they moved to Detroit. Fran worked as a nurse's aide at Mt. Carmel Hospital from 1961 until retiring in 1978. They moved to northern Michigan in 1979. Arthur preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1997. Fran was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and Saint Mary's Altar Society in Charlevoix. She is survived by her son Ed (Laurie) Bajos of Charlevoix; daughters, Theresa (Terry) Johnson of Howell, Virginia Barawskas of New Hudson and son-in-law Frank Trulson of Naples, Fla.; grandchildren, Eric Barawskas, Zachary and Amanda Bajos; sisters, Elizabeth Zimmerman of St. Louis, Louise (Jerry) Schmitz of Rockaway Beach, Mo., Mary (John) Len of East Jordan; brothers, George (Doreen) Kruzel and Leo (Mary Jane) Kruzel all of Muskegon. Fran was also preceded in death by her daughter Carolyn "Bunny" Trulson on June 20, 2002, and her brothers Joe and Ted Kruzel. Fran loved her family and their times together. She was a devoted wife and mother and had many close friends. She will truly be missed. Memorial contributions may be made to NWMCH-Hospice.
