Note: Information from Lucille Warner via Nancy Zimmerman Dunham: "Samuel Parley Brown was born March 21, 1880. He was married to Emma Bilow in Ballaire, August 27, 1903, by Job England, Justice of the Peace. Witnesses were Bernice England and L.A. Seymour. They lived on the former Charley Hebart farm in Charlevoix County, Norwood Township which was owned by Samuel's mother, Emmaline. While living there Leonard and Loyd (December 31, 1906) were born. According to their son, Roy, they didn't have any money to pay the rent so they moved to Lake Odessa where HIlda was born. During 1939-1941 they lived near Charlotte and farmed. From there4 they moved to Portland where Harold and Roy were born. Parley always smoked a pipe. He enjoyed playing the violin. He bought his violin with tobacco coupons. Samuel Parley passed away December 21, 1941. Emma was born in Ellensburg, New York, April 20, 1885 and died February 5, 1971.
