Note: From the obituary Petosky paper: "Esther E. Engle, 58, of Oden, died April 18, 1983, at Little Traverse Division of Northern Michigan Hospitals. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 9:30am at the United Methodist church in Alanson Rev. Richard L. Matson will officiate. The former Esther E. Zimmerman was born Mar 10, 1925, in Petosky, the daughter of Roy and Mary Zimmerman. She attended Petoskey schools and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1943. That same year she married George Engle of Oden and the couple have made their home there since that time. Mrs. Engle attended the United Methodist Chruch in Alanson. Survivorys include her husband; two sons, Thomas George Engle and Donald Ray Engle, both of Alanson; one daughter, Mrs. Julie Southwell of Sault Ste. Marie; four grandsons and one granddaughter; two brothers, William Zimmerman of Boyne Falls And Roy Zimmerman of Bear Lake; three sistors, Mrs. Shirley Kinert of Petoskey, Mrs. Mary Jane Bouchey of Saginaw and Mrs. Norman (Nancy) Dunham of Lansing. The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church in Alanson. Local arrangements were made by the Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey.
