Note: c took up blacksmithing and went to work for his cousin Aaron Zimmerman, who owned a blacksmith shop in the Rock area located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Isaac later as ayoung man traveled over the blue mountain to Schubert, Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania to Philip Troutman, who owned a blacksmith shop. Here Isaac extended his trade for blacksmithing. Isaac was not married at the time and boarded with Francis Troutman, son of Philip. This shop was located on the land owned by Michael MaCarthy. Isaac later moved back to Swope's Valley for a short period of time to work on his father's farm, his father was ill and no longer could do the farm work. Isaac married Amanda Elizabeth Kiene in Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania on April 18,1908. Shortly there after Isaac and Amanda moved back to Schubert and bought a small farm which was owned by Oscar Anspach. On this farm Isaac had a small blacksmith shop. Five of Isaac and Amanda's children were born on this farm; they were Esther Elizabeth, Isaac Edward, Jerry (Jeremiah), Hannah and Elmer Woodrow Wilson. Isaac and his family then moved to the first farm west on the north side of old route 22 and 419. On this farm Isaac and Amanda had their sixth and final child Lillian. Shortly after Isaac bought the first farm about 1922/23, located west of Route 419 and south of old route 22, which was located in Bethel Township. In 1945 Isaac built a home on the southwest corner of Route 419 and Route old 22. The home was built by Roy and Ralph Gassert. Isaac built a small blacksmith shop behind the house, later converted into a garage. Isaac on this property also built a chicken house next to the shop. Isaac sold two lots to the west of his house to his son Jerry, and the remaining land and farm to Lewis Emerich. Isaac died on March 07,1960 in his home, and was the first funeral of Harvey A. Hill Jr. of Rehrersburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Elmer Henry Zimmerman
