  ZINCK, Gertrude Rhodella ZINCK, Gertrude Rhodella - 96, Kentville, died September 24, 1998, in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in East Chester, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late James Wakefield and Bertha (Freda) Zinck. She attended Normal College, Truro, and taught school in East Chester, Blandford, Broad Cove and Windsor Forks. She resided in the Kentville area most of her life. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Kentville. Surviving are daughters, Jean (Mrs. Leonard Mitchell), Halifax; Betty (Mrs. Piers Churchill), Kingston, Kings Co.; brother, Clyde, East Chester; sister, Susie (Mrs. Tom Barkhouse), Shoreham Village Nursing Home, Chester; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Winton; sons, Winton (Bud), Stanley; brothers, Gordon, Donald, Clarence; sisters, Ella Hume, Isobel Jollimore, Grace Rafuse. Visitation 2 p.m Monday until time of funeral 3 p.m. Monday, both in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Kentville, Rev. John Scott officiating. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
