Note: 11 March 2005 Halifax Herald CHURCHILL, Betty Margaret - 77, Kingston, died March 10, 2005, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Winton and Gertrude (Zinck) Zinck. She was a graduate of Truro Normal College, taught elementary school in Upper Cunard, Liverpool, Greenwood, and Kingston. Betty joined the RCAF as an Airwoman. She was also a member of the Annapolis Valley, Greenwood, and Shelburne Amateur Radio Clubs, call sign VE1 CHB, and a member of the Delightfully Dashing Debutantes Red Hatters Ladies Club. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Round Bay, Shelburne Co. Surviving are daughters, Donna (Jacques) Deschenes, Kingston; Cheryl Churchill, Halifax; Becky (Robert) Buckley, Edmonton, Alta.; sons, Piers (Joanne), Kingston; John, Saint John, N.B.; sister, Jean Mitchell, Halifax; grandchildren, Vanessa, Jacqueline, Lewis, Alex, Collette, Caitlin, John, and Shelby. She was predeceased by husband, Lewis; brothers, Stan and Winton ("Uncle Bud"). Memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston, Archdeacon Eric MacDonald officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Shelburne Co., at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia
