a. Note:   One of the family stories is that August Zippel or he and his family in Prussia had the rights to fish a certain lake. August Gustav's birth certificate refers to his father as a Fischer (a fisherman). The habit of the times was to give certain people rights to fish each lake. In this way they were able to manage the fish stock and not over fish. If the family didn't manage the stock well, they would have lost their living. When I visited Zutzer I did find that there is a nearby lake of quite some size, not quite as big as Kelly Lake but bigger then Balcum, the lake on the farm which presently belongs to Blazer's.
