a. Note:   Ellen Zippel FREDERICK Oconto County Reporter Ellen E. Frederick 84 Gillett, died Thursday evening, January 1999, at the Sharpe Care Ltd., Oconto Falls, following a long struggle with cancer. She was born December 6, 1914, in the town of Oconto Falls, to the late Albert and Anna (Johnson) Zippel. On June 19, 1937, Ellen married Clarence G. Frederick at St. John Lutheran Church, where they remained lifelong members. Ellen was a member of the WELCA at the church. The couple were active in dairy farming until 1970, and in 1973 they moved to Gillett. Clarence preceded her in death August 12, 1978. Following Ellen's retirement, she devoted most of her time to her grandchildren, friends and neighbors. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Evelyn, Gillett; her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and David Evenson, Reedsville; her brother, Carl Zippel, Gillett; ten grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends called at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday, February 1, 1999, at St. John Lutheran Church, Gillett, with the Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Ellen's grandchildren served as pallbearers.
