Text:   William Brooking of Lancaster Township passes away: William Brooking, one of the pioneer citizens of Lancaster township, died Saturday and was buried today at Lancaster. Mr. Brooking was aged 78 years and was one of the leading men of that township for many years. His death was caused by kidney trouble from which he had been a sufferer for a long time. He leaves four sons and two daughters to mourn his death. They are Kennedy and David Brooking, of this county, James, of this city, Franklin: who lives near Wabash, Mrs. J.M. Boyd of this city, and Mrs Rebecca LeFevre, of Kansas.

Text:   Attained by Price LaFever, Who Died Friday Evening: Friday evening at 7 o'clock, in Lancaster township, occurred the death of Price LaFever from Gangrene, which kept him confined to the house for the past seven weeks. The deceased was married fifty years ago, and first came to Huntington in 1845 with his family and afterwards settled on his farm in Clearcreek township, where they have resided for the past thirty five years. Deceased leaves a wife and ten children to mourn his death, one child, Mrs. Isaac Rudy, being dead. The children are David, Joseph, James and Allan LaFever nad Mesdames Frank and Sarah E. Brookens, William Carroll, Joseph Couch, Lena Turner and Orvin Allen, of Georgia, Ala. Deceased was born in Virginia July 5, 1822 and at the time of his death was 77 years, 1 mounth and 16 days of age. The furneral will be held at the Lancaster church Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.
